We’re sad to announce Asatha Povathu Yaaru star Kovai Ramesh died in a terrible accident today morning. He and his friends were coming back to Kovai from Madurai, when within easy reach Kankeyam, his vehicle met with the accident. He and his friend died on the accident spot.

Kovai Ramesh Death On His Birthday!
Tamil Mimicry artist Kovai Ramesh also known as Ramesh Kumar, who is known to leave his audience in fits of laughter, had them in tears on Saturday, he died in a road accident on his 40th birthday. Coincidentally, it was the birthday of driver Karthikeyan who also died in the fatal accident.
Kovai Ramesh started his career as a mimicry artist performing at stage shows. His acquaintance with Kovai Guna and Kovai Ashok lead him to the talent show ‘Kalakkapovadhu Yaaru’ telecast by Vijay TV in 2005. Since then there was no looking back for this talented artist who captivated the viewers by dressing in female attire and imitating yesteryear heroines’ voices
An alumnus of CSI Higher Secondary School, Ramesh did costume designing course. After learning the nuances of the trade at a men’s wear showroom, he had set up a shop at Ramanathapuram. Director Rajkumar said that it was a tragic end to an artiste who was a darling of the masses. Nakeeran Gopal who flew to Coimbatore took part in a procession from the Oppanakkara Street, where Ramesh body was kept to Chokkampudur Corporation cremation ground. Ramesh’s younger brother Sathish said that they have planned to hold a condolence meeting next week.

It is very very shocking news among the Australian Viewers ( Australia). Ramesh acting in Asatha povadhu yaaru show was so popular particularly in his dancing , singing and mimikiri lady Voices ( all famous film actresses) and it is very sad news for me and all other viewers. Eedu katta mudiyadha oru periya illapu. My heartly condolences to his family members and his friends including Asatha povathu Yaaru kuzhu Kudumbathukku.
