Vijay TV’s Jodi No.1 Season 3 – The clash of the titans!
Jodi No.1 the dance reality show that has run successfully for 3 seasons has revolutionized television viewing in Tamil Nadu. Jodi No.1, the dance competition with small screen artists, has quiet successfully lived up to the expectations of the audience since its inception in 2006.
Vijay TV is now ready for its next launch…”Jodi No.1 Season 3″; this time it’s bigger and breathtaking! The third season is all set to redefine the reality entertainment from July 18, 2008 at the 8pm band – Fridays and Saturdays.
Jodi No.1 Season 3 – the legend of the reality television will feature the best dancers from all dance reality shows on a single stage. A show worth watching for its sizzling chemistry, spell binding dance movements, Jodi No.1 Season 3 is sure to be a runaway success like its predecessors.
Season 3 has roped in 8 small screen artists and the viewers will get to see their favorite TV stars performing to some fast moving dance numbers.
New and innovative themes like Freestyle, Western, Black & White, Club round, Romance / Candle Light, Kings Style are planned for this season. The finals of the show will be shot amidst the sprawling greens and luscious waters of Kerala.
Like the two seasons, Jodi No.1 Season 3 will also have active participation from the viewers and is set to woo audiences across Tamil Nadu and beyond with a star-studded line-up of eight celebrity couples vying for the title of best dancers.
The new set of celebrity couples are:
Rajesh and Suhasini:
Rajesh, an upcoming star has featured in films like 7 G Rainbow Colony, Ninaithu Ninaithu Parthein, Saroja, Thikucchi and has also acted as a hero in Irukkankudi. Suhasini has won the Best Female Dancer in Vijay TV’s Vijay Jodi No.1 dance show.
Sarath Chandran and Preethi:
Hailing from a dancing family, Sarath Chandran is a trained Classical dancer and is acting in a few serials too. Preethi has won the Jodi No.1 Season 2 title and is also a trained Classical and Kuchupudi dancer.
Mahendran and Hemalatha:
Mahendran began his career as a child artist and has acted in films like ‘Coimbatore Mapillai’. He has acted with Pandiyarajan and is very interested in dancing.
Playing the character ‘Raghavi’ in Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, Hemalatha is popular for her girl next door image. She has impressed the judges in Vijay Jodi No.1 paired with Pachai.
Sanjay and Pooja:
Interested in modeling, Sanjay has won ‘Mr.Stylish’ title in the Chennai Man 2007 contest and is an upcoming ramp model.
Pooja has also won ‘Ms. Stylish’ and ‘Ms. Confidence’ titles in Miss. Chennai 2007 and is passionate about dancing.
Nethran and Aruna Devi:
Popular faces in television serials, Nethran and Aruna Devi have together proved their talent in dancing as well.
Venkat and Nisha:
The only real couple in Season 3, this pair were the runners up in Season 2. Venkat was also given the Best Individual performer award. Both share an excellent on-screen chemistry.
Tinku and Santhoshi:
Having won the title in Season 2, Tinku is a popular child artiste. He has acted with “Padmashri” Kamal Hasan in ‘Japanil Kalyana Raman’ and has done many challenging roles in serials too.
Santhoshi, a very popular face in serials has won the Ms. Chinnathirai title in 2007. She has also acted as a heroine in Jairam and has performed in Jodi No.1 Challenge.
Ravindran and Pooja:
Introduced in Kadhal Kondein film, Ravindran is all set to prove his dancing skills through this show.
Pooja having been a participant in the first season of Jodi No.1, is a very popular face and has hosted many television shows.
